About the job Master Technician - Electrical
Job Purpose:
To diagnose, repair, and support complex electrical and air conditioning (A/C) issues in commercial vehicles (e.g., buses, trucks, vans). The Master Technician serves as the subject-matter expert for highvoltage, low-voltage, wiring, HVAC systems, and electronic controls, ensuring safe and effective repairs with minimal downtime.
Key Accountabilities:
Diagnose and repair advanced electrical faults including wiring harness issues, control modules, battery management systems, and lighting systems in commercial vehicles.
Troubleshoot and service HVAC/Air Conditioning systems, including compressor, evaporator, blower motors, refrigerant lines, and climate control modules.
Use OEM diagnostic tools and multimeters to interpret fault codes and CAN bus signals.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-voltage and 24V systems.
Support the workshop team with complex electrical and A/C fault diagnosis and repair.
Understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay circuits used in commercial vehicles.
Ensure safe handling and repair of components including compressors, high-voltage cables, relays, and AC refrigerant systems.
Assist in documenting root cause analysis and repair methodology for each job.
Mentor junior technicians on proper diagnostic strategy, safety standards, and repair techniques.
Collaborate with manufacturer technical teams when escalated issues occur
Key Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems (12V/24V/EV) and HVAC systems.
Expertise in AC circuit diagnosis, refrigerant charging, compressor replacement, and leak detection.
Understanding of CAN bus, control modules, sensors, and vehicle electronic architecture.
Skilled in reading electrical wiring diagrams and using diagnostic tools.
Strong problem-solving approach and analytical thinking.
Adherence to safety standards when dealing with refrigerants, electrical systems, and high-voltage circuits.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Certification in Automotive Electrical Technology or A/C Systems.
Master Technician Certification in Electrical or HVAC (preferred).
Minimum 7–10 years of hands-on experience in commercial vehicle electrical and HVAC repairs prefer on Valvo , Mercedes Benz, Renault , UD trucks and buses
Valid refrigerant handling certification (if applicable in your region).
Familiar with OEM diagnostic tools
Prefer to have experience with Volvo or Renault Truck
