CØMPΛNIUM Hospitality is recruiting on behalf of one of its clients, an international luxury hospitality group operating iconic resorts.

To support the development of one of its beautiful properties, we are seeking a Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the commercial strategy and strengthen the positioning of the resort.

Role Overview

The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading the commercial strategy of the luxury resort, driving business performance, and positioning the hotel as a reference destination in its market. 

The role requires a balance of strategic vision, operational execution, and people leadership to ensure sustainable revenue growth, brand visibility, and exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

  • Define and implement the sales and marketing strategy to achieve budgeted revenue, rate, and occupancy targets.

  • Prepare and monitor the annual business plan, budget, forecasts, and monthly reports.

  • Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies to maintain competitiveness.

  • Develop international and regional market penetration strategies across leisure, corporate, MICE, and lifestyle segments.

  • Leverage digital marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and content creation to increase visibility and engagement.

  • Cultivate relationships with travel trade, key accounts, and strategic partners.

  • Represent the property at trade shows, roadshows, industry events, and sales calls.

Brand Positioning & Guest Experience

  • Ensure all sales and marketing activities align with the brand positioning of the property.

  • Drive innovation and creative initiatives to differentiate the property and enhance its reputation.

  • Promote unique experiences that generate guest loyalty and positive brand recognition.

People Leadership

  • Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales & Marketing team to deliver strong results.

  • Recruit, train, and retain top performers in alignment with company standards.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Financial & Operational Accountability

  • Monitor and optimize departmental performance against financial targets.

  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and return on marketing investments.

  • Provide accurate data analysis and reporting to support decision-making.

Responsible Business & Compliance

  • Ensure all practices comply with local regulations and company policies.

  • Promote sustainable practices, responsible marketing, and community engagement.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a senior sales leadership role within luxury hospitality.

  • Strong track record in driving revenue, brand positioning, and international sales.

  • Bachelors degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • Solid knowledge of global distribution, digital marketing, and CRM/PMS systems.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with fluency in English (additional languages a plus).

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical abilities and hands-on operational approach.

  • Culturally aware, adaptable, and able to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time executive role based on property needs and seasonality.

  • The position requires flexibility, including travel for business development and events.

  • Performance will be measured against financial results, guest satisfaction, and team development.
