About the job Sales Development Representative
Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Memorial & Partnership Specialist
About the Client
We are a dedicated design studio specializing in memorializing life's most meaningful moments. We provide award-winning, bespoke memorial design services, heartfelt video tributes, and timeless keepsakes that help families beautifully encapsulate the legacy of their loved ones. We believe in the profound importance of these moments and strive to make the process as simple, comforting, and painless as possible for the families we serve.
The Role
We are looking for a highly unique Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team. This is not a traditional sales role. This position requires a rare blend of business development skills and profound emotional intelligence.
Your role will be split into two vital areas:
B2B Partnerships: You will proactively reach out to and connect with funeral homes, building deep, trusting relationships and partnering with them to grow our memorial design business.
Direct Family Support: You will attend calls with families who have recently lost a loved one. You will act as a comforting guide, helping them select the right memorial packages during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
Key Responsibilities
B2B Partnership Development (Funeral Homes):
Proactively connect with funeral home directors and staff to introduce veJov Life's bespoke memorial programs and design services.
Build, nurture, and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with funeral homes to establish ongoing referral partnerships.
Educate partners on how our services (video tributes, digital keepsakes, memorial designs) add tremendous value to the families they serve.
Manage a pipeline of B2B leads, track outreach in our CRM, and consistently meet partnership growth goals.
Family Consultation & Support:
Attend inbound and follow-up calls with individuals and families who are on an emotional rollercoaster due to the recent loss of loved ones.
Listen with deep compassion, patience, and emotional wisdom, acting as a supportive guide through our ordering process.
Never hang up or rush a caller. You must be willing to hold space for their grief, providing a safe and patient presence on the line, no matter how long it takes.
Gently and respectfully guide families toward the memorial packages that best honor their loved one's legacy.
Who You Are (Requirements & Qualifications)
Emotionally Wise & Empathetic: You possess a deeply compassionate heart. You are patient, supportive, and emotionally resilient enough to speak with grieving individuals daily without losing your warmth.
Relationship Builder: You know how to build genuine trust with B2B partners (funeral homes) and can comfortably navigate conversations with business owners and directors.
Excellent Communicator: You have a soothing, professional phone presence. You know when to speak, but more importantly, you know when to simply listen.
Sales/SDR Experience: Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management. You know how to prospect, follow up, and close partnerships, but you do it with a consultative, non-pushy approach.
Highly Organized: Capable of managing B2B outreach campaigns while balancing inbound family consultations, keeping meticulous notes in our CRM.
