Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst with advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of big data tools. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on turning data into actionable insights and has expertise in Spark and Python, with a working knowledge of Snowflake. Experience in machine learning is highly desirable and will set candidates apart. Additionally, proficiency in data visualization using Sigma Computing is a key requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large and complex datasets to extract actionable insights. Develop, maintain, and automate dashboards and reports using Sigma Computing. Present data findings and trends to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Data Evaluation & Supplier Qualification: Perform data evaluation tasks to qualify and monitor data suppliers. Assess data quality, consistency, and relevance to ensure supplier compliance with company standards. Provide insights and recommendations for supplier performance improvements.
- Sales Support & Client Assistance: Collaborate with the sales team by analyzing and evaluating data to support potential client engagements. Generate data-driven reports and insights that inform sales strategies and enhance client acquisition efforts.
- Data Engineering: Utilize Apache Spark for data processing and transformation. Optimize data workflows and pipelines for efficiency and scalability. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Tool Utilization & Integration: Leverage Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization. Work with Snowflake (or similar data warehousing solutions) to store and manage data. Use Data Visualization software (such as Sigma Computing or Tableau) for creating and managing interactive dashboards and reports. Integrate and test new data analytics tools and software.
- Machine Learning (Preferred): Apply machine learning techniques to enhance predictive analytics. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement ML models. Validate and monitor model performance, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units to understand their data needs. Translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations. Support decision-making processes with data-driven insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.
- Strong experience with Apache Spark for processing large datasets.
- Familiarity with SQL and data warehousing, preferably Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with Sigma Computing for data visualization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a related field.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning, including model development and deployment.
- Experience with additional data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of additional programming languages and statistical tools.
