Our client, an AmLaw 200 firm is seeking an attorney with 24 years of experience in education, nonprofit, and/or public agency law. This dynamic practice offers opportunities for professional growth, client engagement, and practice development support. Ideal candidates will have experience counseling on transparency laws such as the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and Political Reform Act, with additional experience in education and charter schools being a plus.
Preferred qualifications include exposure to nonprofit law, laws governing TK-12 public schools (federal and state), labor and employment issues, and civil litigation experience, including writs of mandate, restraining orders, and special education litigation. Strong legal research, writing, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to draft legal documents, governing resolutions, and client communications.
