Job Title: Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal (3-Month Project)

Location: San Diego, CA or Del Mar, CA- HYBRID (2 days from home) 

Company Overview: Our client a leading and prominent law firm based in San Diego, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our dynamic team for a 3-month project, 40 hours per week. With a reputation for excellence, our firm specializes in providing comprehensive legal services, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal to support our legal team during a critical 3-month project. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5+ years of paralegal experience, with a focus on intellectual property matters. A paralegal certification is required.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property cases.
  2. Prepare and file legal documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and other relevant agencies.
  3. Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, memoranda, and other documents related to intellectual property matters.
  4. Coordinate with clients, external counsel, and internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation.
  5. Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations.
  6. additional responsibilities as needed 

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on intellectual property.
  2. Paralegal certification from an ABA accredited institution.
  3. Strong knowledge of litigation and IP procedures and regulations.
  4. Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
  5. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
  8. Proficiency in legal software and databases.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and will be roughly $40.00 $50.00 per hour. Candidates outside this range are still encouraged to apply and will be considered.

The position will start in early April.
