Job Title: Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal (3-Month Project)
Location: San Diego, CA or Del Mar, CA- HYBRID (2 days from home)
Company Overview: Our client a leading and prominent law firm based in San Diego, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal to join our dynamic team for a 3-month project, 40 hours per week. With a reputation for excellence, our firm specializes in providing comprehensive legal services, and we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Intellectual Property Paralegal to support our legal team during a critical 3-month project. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5+ years of paralegal experience, with a focus on intellectual property matters. A paralegal certification is required.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to intellectual property cases.
- Prepare and file legal documents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and other relevant agencies.
- Assist in the preparation of legal opinions, memoranda, and other documents related to intellectual property matters.
- Coordinate with clients, external counsel, and internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5+ years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on intellectual property.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA accredited institution.
- Strong knowledge of litigation and IP procedures and regulations.
- Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Proficiency in legal software and databases.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and will be roughly $40.00 $50.00 per hour. Candidates outside this range are still encouraged to apply and will be considered.
The position will start in early April.
