About the job Servicenow Developer
(EXP 7-12 yrs)
Location: Chennai
Work mode - (Hybrid)
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations
- Customize and configure ServiceNow instances including forms, workflows, reports, and dashboards
- Develop and maintain scripts using JavaScript within the ServiceNow platform
- Create and maintain technical documentation for all ServiceNow implementations
- Collaborate with business product teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Conduct system testing and validation to ensure quality implementations
- Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform issues
- Maintain awareness of ServiceNow updates and new features to recommend improvements
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
- Assist with change management and release activities
- Ensure solutions adhere to ServiceNow best practices and organizational standards
# Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementation
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, and web services
- Strong understanding of ITIL practices and frameworks
- Experience in implementing ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITBM, ITOM, CSM, and custom applications
- Proficiency in creating complex workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and scheduled jobs
- Experience with ServiceNow integration techniques including REST, SOAP, web services, and MID servers
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
# Preferred Qualifications
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (CIS-ITSM, CIS-CSM, CIS-HR, etc.)
- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Orchestration, and Service Mapping
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Experience with other complementary technologies (SQL, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades and migrations
- Knowledge of GRC modules and implementation
- Experience in a medium to large enterprise environment
