National IT Manager  – Stellenbosch, Cape Town

Our client a national ISP is looking for a National Systems Manager

Lead the team nationally in one of the fastest growing companies in SA.

This is a hand’s on role – Designing, developing and implementing solutions.

Special Skills:

·         Office 365

·         Identity management

·         Manage a mix of WISPS, 70 systems & VAS & Cloud based applications

The position of National Manager – Systems is responsible for the execution of the national systems plan. This includes responsibility for the internal systems and the future OSS/BSS development; consolidation of national systems infrastructure and the standardisation and consolidation of national systems for operations, head-office IT, value added services and other support systems.

Job summary:

•Inform the systems strategy and propose national systems & related infrastructure tactics, plans and budgets aligned with the Company strategy of standardisation, consolidation & integration.

•Propose and build a national systems team and competency management & support centre aligned with all internal business customer’s needs.

•Execute the systems tactics as per agreed systems plans.

•Engage with the counterparts in the other divisions and departments to ensure cohesion between all the functions of the business.

•Keep the COO informed of the state of systems through periodic reporting.

Min Requirements

·         Strong demonstrable experience in creating and successfully implementing a large IT project or founding and running a successful start-up

·         Strong ability to translate business needs into technology requirements

·         5+ years software development experience in either development team lead or project management roles

·         5+ years’ experience in deploying and managing key server or network infrastructure

·         Strong knowledge of networking, including routing, tcp and network security

·         Strong demonstrable experience in deploying and managing cloud hosted applications

·         Strong demonstrable experience in data security and information management

·         Experience in implementing POPI or GDPR policies or procedures within your organisation

·         Experience in Microsoft Active directory, or similar

·         Experience in managing a distributed team or remote workers

·         Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·         Experience in OSS/BSS systems will be advantageous

·         Experience in the ISP industry will be advantageous
