About the job Device Repair Specialist

A Device Repair Specialist is part of the Device Management team under the Merchant Services – Operations Department. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing defective devices, performing maintenance, and handling various hardware-related issues for POS terminals. The specialist ensures all POS equipment Attended & Unattended are fully functional and restored to working conditions.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Diagnose and repair defective POS terminals and accessories.

Replace faulty components to ensure devices work properly.

Ensure all devices are clean, updated, and fully functional.

Test repaired devices for performance and reliability.

Maintain detailed logs of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.

Follow safety protocols when handling electronic devices and repair equipment.

Work closely with the Device Management and Merchant Services teams to resolve device related issues.

Prepares weekly and monthly reports including all records and inventory.

Contributes to creating policies and procedures related to this role

JOB QUALIFICATION

College graduate preferably of Electronics Engineering or any related field

Minimum of 2-3 years relevant experience in handling different POS devices

Proficient in English both written and verbal communication SKILLS

Knowledge of using hardware tools: multimeter, screwdrivers, soldering kits, cable testers.

Working knowledge of payment solutions offered locally in the Philippines

Knowledge and experience on different local POS terminals and systems

Proactive critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent time management skills, organizational skills and strong attention to details

Good communication and presentation skills

Collaboration skills with the ability to work in various group situations while maintaining effective communication and productivity

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with high-quality output

Willing to work on weekend, holidays, and shifting schedules as needed
