One of the Big Four global professional services firms is seeking a highly strategic Operational Risk Management - Manager to join their team. You will lead engagements focused on analyzing complex operations and identifying risks stemming from internal challenges, mismanagement, or systemic breakdowns. The ideal candidate brings an extensive background in root cause investigation, statistical modeling, and strategic mitigation, ensuring the firm and its clients maintain robust operational integrity and a culture of continuous risk improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex operations to identify and investigate potential risks arising from internal challenges, mismanagement, and process breakdowns.
  • Investigate root causes of operational risks and create comprehensive, data-driven reports on findings for senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to prevent, eliminate, and mitigate operational risks effectively.
  • Identify, review, and provide expert recommendations on key risks and control issues across multiple client engagements.
  • Utilize advanced valuation techniques, statistical models, and quantitative analysis to assess risk exposure.
  • Stay abreast of the latest operational risk management techniques and global industry best practices.
  • Lead high-level engagements with minimal supervision, ensuring all deliverables meet the firm's quality standards.
  • Assist in business development activities, including the creation of compelling proposals and client presentations.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of professionals, ensuring the growth and development of assigned mentees.
  • Manage multiple concurrent engagements while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organizational discipline.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business; an MBA or Master's Degree in Finance is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 to 5 years of extensive experience in operational risk analysis and risk management.
  • Proven ability to develop risk mitigation strategies and perform root cause investigations.
  • Expert proficiency in statistical models, quantitative analysis, and various valuation tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing team members in a professional services environment.
  • Logical thinker and problem solver with exceptional analytical prowess and a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for executive-level reporting and client interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage high-pressure engagements successfully.
