Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence to bridge business needs with data, analytics, and BI solutions. The role combines business analysis, data analysis, stakeholder management, and Power BI to deliver actionable insights and improve business processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for business analysis and ad hoc data requests.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, pain points, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable data, reporting, and BI solutions.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, KPIs, and business insights, particularly across Finance, HR, Business Development & Marketing, and Knowledge functions.
  • Develop and support Power BI reports, dashboards, visualizations, and ad hoc datasets.
  • Use DAX and query languages to work with existing data models and validate analytical results.
  • Perform basic SQL validation and data checks.
  • Partner with developers and data engineers to resolve data issues, bugs, and reporting enhancements.
  • Support data quality, governance, lineage, metadata, and remediation activities.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog management.
  • Gather user feedback and support iterative improvements to BI solutions.
  • Provide user guidance, demos, training, and documentation to drive BI adoption.
  • Support change management, communications, and post-implementation/hypercare activities.
  • Stay informed on BI, analytics, cloud data platforms, and legal technology/AI trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 3–4+ years of hands-on Business Analyst experience, particularly in requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
  • Strong experience in Business Intelligence and data analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI.
  • Working knowledge of DAX and SQL.
  • Experience with data models, data warehouses, or data cubes.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred / Advantageous

  • Experience in professional services, particularly legal services.
  • Experience with VBA.
  • Exposure to Databricks or other cloud analytics platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and BI adoption/change management.
  • Familiarity with AI and analytics applications in the legal industry.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A strong candidate is someone who sits at the intersection of Business Analyst + Data Analyst + BI. They should be comfortable gathering requirements from stakeholders, analyzing data, building or supporting Power BI reporting, translating findings into business recommendations, and working with technical teams to deliver BI solutions.
