About the job Broker Support Team Leader
A leading Australian offshoring firm is seeking a Broker Support Team Lead. This role leads a team of Broker Support Officers providing essential support to the Business Development Management (BDM) Team to achieve sales objectives and Net New Loan (NNL) targets. Reporting to the Lending Operations Manager, the successful candidate balances workflow management, quality assurance, and team development to ensure consistent, high-level service delivery to brokers and their customers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Broker Support Officers in a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Manage daily workflows, monitor team performance, and establish clear goal-setting and performance review metrics.
- Ensure quality assurance across mortgage administration tasks and drive process improvements within the team.
- Support the training, career guidance, and personal development of team members.
- Handle administrative team leadership duties including leave approvals and addressing payroll queries.
- Collaborate cross-functionally across business units to facilitate clear, concise information exchange and support broker portfolio management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a Sales, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Team Leader or Supervisory capacity within the Australian Mortgage, Lending, or Brokerage industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall experience in the mortgage and lending sector, with a strong preference for third-party or banking and finance backgrounds.
- In-depth knowledge of residential and non-residential credit policies and mortgage compliance legislation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Work Setup: Onsite
Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 am – 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday)
