SAP BASIS/Environment Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced SAP BASIS professional to join as an Environment Manager (Manager level). This role is pivotal in managing and maintaining the technical landscape of SAP S/4HANA implementations, ensuring stability, performance, and scalability across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capabilities, deep BASIS expertise, and hands-on experience managing complex SAP landscapes and project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the SAP BASIS team in managing technical landscapes for SAP S/4HANA projects.
• Oversee system installations, upgrades, migrations, and patch management across all SAP environments.
• Manage SAP systems across development, quality, pre-production, and production landscapes.
• Define and execute environment strategies, including refresh cycles, transport management, and cutover planning.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams to ensure high system availability, performance, and compliance.
• Support RISE with SAP, GROW with SAP, and SAP BTP deployments and integrations.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, job scheduling, and interface stability.
• Enforce adherence to change management, incident management, and release management processes.
• Provide technical leadership during go-lives, disaster recovery activities, and system audits.
• Mentor junior BASIS consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices.

Required Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10-12 years of SAP BASIS administration experience, including at least 3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong expertise in:
• SAP S/4HANA system architecture
• SAP HANA database administration
• Transport Management System (TMS)
• SAP Solution Manager / Focused Run
• Experience with SAP on Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP BTP.
• Familiarity with SAP Landscape Management (LaMa) and SAP Maintenance Planner.
• Solid understanding of clean core principles, system extensibility, and upgrade planning.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP Certified Technology Associate SAP S/4HANA System Administration.
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., Life Sciences, Banking, Utilities).
• Exposure to DevOps, automation, and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus).
