Job Summary

The ESG Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting organizations in improving and reporting their non-financial performance through sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. This role involves providing assurance on sustainability disclosures, greenhouse gas emissions inventories, and climate-related financial risk reporting. The position also supports client engagement delivery and contributes to business development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support organizations in achieving best practices in reporting non-financial performance through ESG and sustainability frameworks.
  • Provide assurance services on sustainability reports, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories, and climate-related financial risk disclosures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute sustainability and ESG-related services for existing clients.
  • Conduct assessments related to carbon emissions, climate risk, sustainability reporting, and energy management.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation, and presentations for clients.
  • Maintain effective and timely communication with clients regarding ESG engagements and deliverables.
  • Support senior leadership in identifying and pursuing potential new business opportunities.
  • Ensure engagements are delivered within timelines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, or a related field.
  • A postgraduate degree in sustainability or a related discipline is an advantage.
  • At least 6–8 years of relevant experience in sustainability or ESG program services, including areas such as:
    • Carbon or greenhouse gas emissions review and assessment
    • Climate risk assessment
    • Sustainability reporting
    • Energy management
  • Strong knowledge of major ESG disclosure platforms and reporting frameworks, including but not limited to:
    • GRESB
    • CDP
    • GRI
    • <IR> (Integrated Reporting)
    • SASB
    • DJSI
    • TCFD
  • Ability to manage time-sensitive and complex client communications effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
