Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and data-driven Merchandising Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of product assortment, pricing, and visual merchandising. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, improving inventory efficiency, and enhancing customer experience across retail and digital channels. The ideal candidate has strong analytical capabilities, team leadership experience, and a keen understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Performance & Analytics
- Monitor and evaluate product and category sales performance across all locations and channels.
- Analyze historical data, competitor activity, and customer insights to support commercial decisions.
- Provide regular reports and actionable recommendations to achieve sales and inventory targets.
2. Assortment Planning
- Identify assortment gaps and collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development opportunities.
- Tailor product offerings to specific store profiles based on location, demographic, and performance.
- Maintain and update accurate product catalogs and internal documentation.
3. Visual Merchandising / Planogram Management
- Assess the effectiveness of product placement and merchandising strategies.
- Develop planograms that align with sales goals, brand strategy, and customer behavior.
- Ensure consistent in-store execution of merchandising guidelines.
4. Pricing & Promotions
- Conduct regular price positioning analysis, including competitor benchmarking.
- Develop and implement pricing and promotional strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Partner with marketing and retail teams to align pricing with seasonal campaigns and inventory objectives.
5. Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead and mentor the merchandising team, setting performance goals and ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Collaborate with Buying, Marketing, Retail Operations, and Product Development teams to ensure cohesive execution of merchandising strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of merchandising experience in a retail, lifestyle, or fashion environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and merchandising systems/tools.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to balance creative thinking with commercial priorities.
