Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with business leaders to execute a variety of projects and advisory engagements, including but not limited to:
  • Developing economic capital and risk-based capital models and reports.
  • Providing guidance on regulatory framework development.
  • Evaluating and implementing IFRS 17 standards.
  • Enhancing enterprise risk management (ERM) systems.
  • Conducting actuarial due diligence and supporting broader financial and tax due diligence for M&A projects.
  • Assisting with internal audit reviews related to pricing, reserving, and risk & capital functions.
  • Delivering high-quality, efficient actuarial audit services.
  • Engage directly with clients, taking part in entire projects rather than just specific tasks, with the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of broader business issues.
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams to address client challenges.
  • Oversee the day-to-day service delivery activities of junior team members.
  • Ensure the quality of project deliverables through rigorous quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Applied Math (major in Actuarial Science), Mathematics, or Statistics.
  • Atleast 6 years of experience in life insurance, either in consulting or a corporate setting.
  • Qualified or progressing towards actuarial exams specializing in Life, Risk, or Investments.
  • Strong understanding of economic or market trends and their implications for clients.
  • Experience in areas such as finance/capital reporting, regulatory changes like risk-based capital and IFRS, financial modeling (e.g., Prophet, AXIS, MoSes), M&A due diligence, Enterprise Risk Management, or economic capital.
  • Strong project management and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Strong client management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel.

Location: Makati

Work Set-Up: Hybrid (2-3x a week)
