Finance Controller
Job Description:
An award-winning digital bank is seeking a Financial Controller, who will be responsible for overseeing the financial risk reporting framework, with a specific focus on expected credit loss (ECL) models. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices. Additionally, the Financial Controller will run, review, and validate ECL models, analyze financial risks, and provide strategic insights to enhance the banks risk reporting capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Risk Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain financial risk reporting frameworks and dashboards.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify potential risks to the bankâs financial performance.
- Provide timely and accurate financial risk reports for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, regulators, and auditors.

Requirements:
- Bachelordegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial control, risk reporting, or similar roles within banking or financial services.
- Strong experience with ECL model execution, validation, and methodology review under IFRS 9.
- Solid knowledge of financial risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in financial analysis tools and reporting systems (e.g., SQL, Power BI, or similar).
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with regulatory compliance specific to the Philippines (e.g., BSP regulations).
- Familiarity with Basel III and financial risk measurement methodologies.
- Proven track record in ECL modeling, system, and process improvement.
