Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist with a number of accounting advisory service engagements, making sure that each project is completed on schedule, under budget, and in line with client expectations.
- Knowledgeable about the general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in daily accounting activities.
- Create, put into place, and keep up financial control systems that protect business assets and guarantee the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Make ensuring that balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements are prepared accurately and on schedule.
- To find patterns, opportunities, and possible areas for improvement, do a thorough financial analysis.
- Offer financial analysis and suggestions to aid in decision-making and company expansion.
- Verify adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Organize tax planning, preparation, and reporting in coordination with outside tax advisors.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Knows financial audits and coordinates with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Up to date with the industry-specific issues and emerging risks which may affect the Firm's client.
- Assist in the development of client proposals, presentations, and business development activities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and offering value-added services.
- Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support decision-making and contribute to the growth and profitability of client's businesses.
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or accounting advisory services
- Experience in a consulting firm or professional services organization is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance, with the ability to manage complex financial statements and analyses
- CIA certification or equivalent is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
