About the job Merchandising Division Head
Job Summary:
This role requires the candidate to have a complete knowledge of all the products features and functionalities and understanding of where it stands vs competition. The role requires exceptional communication and analytical skills.
The key goal is to increase the sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth. This person would work with partners such as banks and vendors to explore opportunities to grow the business.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends
- Develop exit strategies for unsuccessful products
- Foster trust relationships with vendors (accessories to support apple products) to achieve better pricing
- Place appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands
- Liaise with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities for the products
- Collaborate with team to work with partners to grow the business
- Make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory
- Assume responsibility of budget development and revenue for category
- Develop product pricing for all new and existing products
- Other tasks assigned by Line Manager
Qualifications:
- The candidate should be working in a similar category (telco/appliances)
- The person should be a graduate/postgraduate with at least 10 years' experience in product management
- Should have an analytical mind
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Be a self- starter and should have the ability to drive and manage a team
