About the job Senior Data Strategy Analyst (EMEA Shift)
As a Senior Data Strategy Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic data initiatives across Investments. This role requires a seasoned professional with strong stakeholder management and engagement skills, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to understand, challenge, and improve data processes. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to map and re-engineer processes, oversee data management tasks such as mapping and cleansing, and drive data quality and governance. While investment knowledge is advantageous, we value individuals with a curious and adaptive mindset who can quickly grasp complex data ecosystems and business structures. The ideal candidate will not only support current data strategy efforts but also grow into a data owner or librarian role challenging assumptions, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to long-term data stewardship. Experience in asset management or investment banking is preferred, though candidates with relevant experience in other industries are encouraged to apply.
The Role Key responsibilities
- Lead data migration and transformation projects using structured project management methodologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, translate them into actionable plans, and ensure successful delivery of solutions
- Drive data cleansing and mapping initiatives between upstream and downstream sources, identify issues and provide remediation solutions
- Build strong relationships with data owners and technology teams to support strategic data initiatives
- Investigate and resolve complex data exceptions with a curious, analytical, and proactive mindset
The Requirements
- Stakeholder Management and Engagement: Ability to engage with colleagues and manage stakeholders effectively
- Analytical Skills: Understanding of data and the ability to analyse it
- Process Mapping and Design: Understanding current processes and re-engineering them as needed
- Experience: Ideally, 10+ years of experience, but the focus is on the right skills and capabilities rather than just years of experience
- Domain Knowledge: While investment knowledge is beneficial, the emphasis is on the ability to engage, challenge, and understand data
- Future Role: The person should be able to evolve into a data owner or librarian role, understanding and challenging data, and engaging with the business
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL along with other skillsets will be highly advantageous
