The Role
This role focuses staying current with tax regulations, managing risks, spotting planning opportunities, and clearly communicating tax matters with clients and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Developing and applying knowledge of domestic tax laws, regulations, and case law
- Preparing accurate and comprehensive tax analyses and computations
- Using tax research, software, and technology tools efficiently
- Managing tax risk and identifying planning opportunities
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to firm and regulatory policies
- Staying up-to-date with technical knowledge through training and applying it to client work
- Discussing tax issues with clients, authorities, and colleagues
- Analyzing authorities and reaching conclusions on moderate complexity issues
- Applying changing tax laws and regulations to client engagements
- Reviewing and evaluating junior staff's work and participating in issue evaluations
- Preparing clear and well-reasoned technical tax analyses.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant license
- Must have relevant experience in tax practice, tax advisory and some tax advocacy work
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- experience in people management is an advantage
