Job Description
A VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) business analyst plays a critical role in the development and maintenance of automated solutions within organizations. Your expertise in VBA, combined with business acumen, allows them to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Business Process Improvement Identify opportunities for process improvements. Implement innovative VBA solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
- VBA Development Develop, enhance, and maintain VBA macros and applications. Automate and optimize business workflows, ensuring high levels of efficiency and accuracy.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including portfolio managers, analysts, and IT teams. Stakeholders have been involved and contributed to the solution outcomes.
- Documentation Gather and document requirements. Create clear and detailed documentation of VBA solutions including user guides, technical specifications, and process maps.
- Training and Support Provide training and support to end-users on the effective use of VBA applications and tools, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization. New solutions and processes are accepted and handed over to business users.
- Integrate with other applications Automate tasks within Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Access, and Word. VBA integrates with these applications to enhance functionality and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the financial services sector, with a focus on wealth management and funds management.
- Proficiency in VBA programming, Excel macros, and advanced Excel functions. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to use VBA to automate repetitive tasks. Skilled in identifying opportunities for automation and developing solutions that streamline processes
- Desirable Knowledge of SQL and database management is an advantage.
- Personal Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects and competing priorities effectively
