General Manager
The General Manager is responsible for the overall operational, strategic, and financial management of the brewery. The GM will lead a diverse team and oversee production, sales, marketing, and distribution, with a particular focus on enhancing brand awareness in international markets. The GM will lead and foster relationships within the industry and ensure that the company meets its business objectives while maintaining a commitment to quality and innovation in craft beer production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement the companys strategic vision and operational goals.
· Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth, particularly in international markets.
· Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and excellence among all staff.
· Oversee daily operations of the brewery, ensuring efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards.
· Collaborate with the Supply Chain Shared Services to manage the supply chain, including procurement of raw materials, inventory control, and logistics.
· Collaborate with Compliance Shared Services to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Prepare and manage the annual budget, forecasting revenue and expenses.
· Collaborate with Finance and Accounting Shared Services to monitor financial performance and reporting, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to promote the brand and increase market share domestically and internationally.
· Conduct market research to identify target demographics and tailor marketing efforts to specific international markets.
· Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and customers, focusing on expanding international sales channels.
· Collaborate with Marketing Shared Services in the development of promotional materials, social media campaigns, and events to enhance brand visibility.
· Represent the company at industry events, festivals, and community functions, both locally and internationally.
· Build strategic partnerships with international distributors, importers, and retailers to enhance market penetration.
· Collaborate with industry organizations and attend trade shows to network and promote the brand.
· Work and collaborate with HR Shared Services to hire, train, and mentor staff across all departments, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development initiatives.
· Encourage teamwork and collaboration, ensuring all employees are aligned with the companys mission and values.
· Ensure product quality and consistency through rigorous quality control processes.
· Stay informed of industry trends and innovations to continually improve product offerings.
· Develop partnerships with local businesses and organizations to enhance community/local presence.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelors degree in business administration or a related field.
· At least 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role within the craft beer industry or a related field, with a focus on international markets.
· Proven track record of managing operations, financials, and teams in a dynamic environment.
· Strong leadership and team-building skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Proficient in financial management and budgeting.
· Knowledge of brewing processes, quality control, and industry regulations.
· Experience in international marketing strategies and sales techniques.
· Strong networking skills with the ability to build relationships across cultures.
