Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting and Reporting

  • Manage the financial statement closing process for both group and local reporting, including preparation and posting of journal entries, as well as financial and management reports.

  • Provide timely and relevant financial information required by management, external auditors, and regulatory agencies. Regular submissions include reports and schedules for IC, SEC, and the Financial Controls Team.

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations, which include:

    • Preparing reconciliation packages in compliance with the Accounts Reconciliation Standard.

    • Monitoring and resolving reconciling items to ensure accurate account balances.

    • Coordinating with various business units to address outstanding items.

    • Identifying control issues and recommending process improvements.

  • Prepare financial statements and fulfill SEC reporting obligations.

  • Submit quarterly and annual reports, as well as other required filings, to IC.

  • Comply with other regulatory requirements (LGU, BSP, etc.).

  • Ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting to SEC, IC, and other agencies.

2. Internal Controls and Audit

  • Document financial accounting and reporting processes and procedures.

  • Review and update existing policies and procedures to implement improvements.

  • Assist in preparing audit requirements for internal auditors.

3. Support for Company Initiatives

  • Participate in system implementations, process automation, and other key projects.

  • Provide support for various Finance initiatives and priorities.

4. Administrative Functions

  • Maintain proper filing and monitoring of all IC and SEC submissions, both in physical and digital formats.

  • Handle inquiries from internal stakeholders, auditors, and regulators related to assigned responsibilities.

  • Assist with Finance-related and other management requirements


Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree in Accountancy

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation or similar credentials

· Experience in Accounts Reconciliation

· Experience corporate accounting or public practice, an advantage (preferably big 4 firm) and/or financial statements preparation of a financial institution.

· Experience in process improvements and automation is a plus.

Preferred skills

· Experience in financial reporting and/or preparation of accounting schedules.

· Knowledge and expertise in accounting standards and regulations such as IFRS, PFRS and Local Statutory Requirements.

· Good organizational skills (planning, time management and priority management); able to timely meet internal and/or external deadlines.

· Proficiency in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
