About the job ServiceNow Developer

The ServiceNow Developer will play a primary role in the management and oversight of ServiceNow

environments, providing development, integration, maintenance and operations skills. This team member

will possess ServiceNow system development and system administration skills, including experience

developing, integrating and administering a ServiceNow ITSM solution in a cloud-based environment.

This position requires a breadth of technical knowledge and experience as well as excellent customer

service, task ownership, multi-tasking and team communications skills.

The scope of the role includes two primary functions:

(1) Administration of ServiceNow instances;

(2) Configuration / development of ServiceNow ITSM/ITOM modules as well as any future modules.

Serve as developer for the ServiceNow platform

Design and implement client scripts, UI Actions, ACLs, business rules, workflows, and configure

or modify applications to meet business requirements while adhering to best practices and

standards on the ServiceNow platform.

Manage code repository and branching strategy for ServiceNow update sets

Provide code review for update sets proposed for promotion to higher environments

Manage application of code between environments (Dev to QA, etc.)

Coordinate regular environment refreshes to ensure the ServiceNow environment remains

healthy

Create and maintain system design and procedural documentation supporting the management

of the platform

Coordinate testing and timely implementation of system updates/features

Manage application configuration and documentation

Support the configuration / development of all ServiceNow modules

Integrate ServiceNow with other systems (for discovery of assets, user access via LDAP,

auto-creation of Incidents via Event Management Systems, etc.)

Track, prioritize, and implement (configure/test/deploy) enhancement requests and defect

corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes

Drive compliance with IT Service Management standards and policies

Maintenance and continuous improvement of the processes, standards, policies, working

methods, and tools

Partner with Platform Stakeholders to document, communicate and continually improve the

processes and policies that describe the use and administration of the ServiceNow platform and

applications.

Implement CMDB, specifically identify CIs (Manual / discovery), create and/or validate

relationships, implement APIs for CI feeds into the DB, CMDB audits, conflict management of

CMDB data, etc.

Attend daily SCRUM calls and provide daily documentation on assigned SCRUM cards
