About the Role

This position plays a key role in supporting multiple Asia Pacific entities with high-quality financial reporting and compliance activities. The role encompasses both recurring reporting tasks and collaboration on process improvements and audits.

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will ensure accurate preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, IFRS-based reports, and statutory financial statements. You'll also serve as a key liaison with finance teams across multiple countries, ensuring that all reporting meets both global standards and local requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly closing entries and financial reports aligned with IFRS and company guidelines
  • Conduct detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and identify discrepancies
  • Support quarterly and year-end financial disclosures, tax filings, and statutory reporting packages
  • Ensure timely updates and maintenance of fixed asset records and GL master data
  • Assist in internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries
  • Contribute to system enhancement testing (SAP, reporting tools) and validate data integrity
  • Review documentation and reports prepared by junior team members; provide constructive feedback
  • Monitor operational performance indicators and assist with improvement initiatives
  • Support internal control requirements such as SOX compliance and control testing
  • Coordinate closely with finance teams across the region to ensure aligned accounting practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a strong asset
  • At least 1 year of experience in financial reporting, audit, or general accounting
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken and written); ability to read and write in Simplified and Traditional Chinese is required for regulatory tasks
  • Knowledge of IFRS and basic understanding of corporate tax and statutory reporting standards
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel; experience with shared services
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Analytical mindset with a commitment to accuracy and quality
