About the job Risk Management Head
Summary:
A leading commercial banking group is seeking a Head of Risk Management to lead and oversee the banks risk management framework. In this role, youll manage credit, market, liquidity, and interest rate risks while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations. You will lead the risk management team and work closely with senior management to develop risk strategies and protect the banks asset quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and assessment of the banks risk management framework, covering credit, market, liquidity, and interest rate risks.
- Review and update risk management policies to ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
- Guide front-line business units in balancing risk-taking with achieving business goals.
- Oversee the identification, measurement, and monitoring of key risks, ensuring compliance with the banks risk appetite.
- Act as Secretary of the Risk Oversight and Internal Control Committee, ensuring material risks are reported and corrective actions are taken.
- Cultivate a strong risk management culture by providing clear policies, procedures, and training to staff across all departments.
- Supervise and enhance credit risk management processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the banks Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) and property-related portfolios, developing effective recovery and collection strategies.
- Provide strategic risk guidance to senior management to support decision-making and long-term planning.
- Ensure periodic reviews of the banks Risk Appetite and monitor exposures to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the banking industry, with 5+ years specifically in risk management.
- Strong expertise in credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, IRRBB, and other risk areas.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a risk management team and guiding cross-functional business units.
- In-depth knowledge of risk governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Work Setup: Full on-site, Monday-Friday
Schedule: Day shift, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
