Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all environmental laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Lead development and implementation of environmental policies and programs.
  • Oversee pollution control measures and environmental performance.
  • Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Facilitate training and awareness on environmental safety and compliance.
  • Maintain permits, licenses, and certifications; recommend improvements for environmental performance.
  • Leading compliance efforts with applicable laws (e.g., Philippine Mining Act, Pollution Control Law)
  • Managing environmental management systems, audits, and certifications
  • Overseeing monitoring programs and incident investigations
  • Supervising site environmental controls, waste management, and rehabilitation projects
  • Driving biodiversity, reforestation, and habitat restoration initiatives
  • Promoting sustainability, resource efficiency, and community engagement
  • Acting as primary liaison for audits, inspections, and stakeholder collaborations
  • Mentoring staff and promoting a safety-first, environmentally responsible culture

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; licensed engineer preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in environmental management, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior staff or leadership role.
  • Certified Pollution Control Officer
  • Proven expertise in permits, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder engagement
  • Strong knowledge of all relevant environmental laws and regulations, such as the Philippine Mining Act, Pollution Control Law, Clean Air Act, and Clean Water Act, ISO 14001 standards and environmental audit processes
  • Leadership skills in managing environmental programs and biodiversity
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions and foster a culture of environmental responsibility

Work location: Minesite based- Aroroy, Masbate (work roster is four (4) weeks onsite followed by two (2) weeks off with pay.
