Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Management (Claims Accounting): Plans and implements department-specific strategies aligned with the organizations overall goals. Monitors budget adherence, ensures proper resource allocation, and identifies opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Experience Management (Claims Accounting): Oversees day-to-day service delivery, ensures compliance with SLAs, resolves issues, and provides feedback to enhance client experience.

  • Process Management (Claims Accounting): Manages the end-to-end workflow of the team, ensuring compliance with established procedures, accuracy, and adherence to service level agreements. Develops and implements policies and guidelines to align with departmental and company objectives.

  • Data Management (Claims Accounting): Ensures the teams compliance with data and document management standards, maintaining accurate and complete records and databases.

  • Talent Management (Claims Accounting): Provides daily guidance, coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to team members to foster engagement, growth, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/College Degree in Accountancy or other accounting-related courses.

  • CPA license is an advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience in claims accounting, technical accounting, or financial reporting within the insurance industry.

  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.

  • Demonstrated expertise in specialized accounting principles for insurance claims, including loss reserve valuation, IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported), and preparation of technical reports (e.g., Loss Triangles).

  • Strong knowledge of technical financial reporting and analysis, ledger reconciliation and control, and cross-functional workflow management.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Willing to work on-site in Makati City.
