About the job Trade Operations Officer

Responsibilities:

Performance

  • Act as processor/checker for daily BAU transactions covering import and export trade activities, including but not limited to Export LC Advising, Export LC Negotiation, Standby LC, Bank Guarantees, Import LC Issuance, and Payments

  • Handle general inquiries from both internal and external counterparties regarding trade finance transactions

  • Prepare billing statements and compute transaction-related charges

Process

  • Assist in the annual review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Enhance existing workflows to improve efficiency

  • Ensure proper archiving and record-keeping of daily transaction documents

Reporting

  • Prepare reports required by relevant departments to meet internal and external regulatory requirements



Qualifications:

  • Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) qualification, would be an advantage
  • At least 5-10 years experience in Trade Operations (Import, Export Letters of Credit, Guarantees and Bills for Collection)
  • Understanding of key ICC rules of UCP/URC/URDG/ISP/ISBP/URDG
  • Understanding of risk and control
