Position Summary:
The Business Transformation Director serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and Boards, overseeing large-scale programs from diagnostic assessment to implementation oversight. This role ensures that transformation initiatives deliver measurable business value, sustainable operational improvements, and strong stakeholder alignment while maintaining adherence to regulatory and governance standards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
On Business Transformation and Advisory Engagements
- Lead end-to-end business transformation engagements
across multiple industries, including financial services, insurance, manufacturing, trading, real estate, and other sectors. - Partner with executive stakeholders to define transformation objectives, scope, and success metrics aligned with corporate strategy.
- Oversee enterprise-wide process reviews covering finance, HR, procurement, sales, operations, supply chain, IT, and customer-facing functions.
- Direct current-state diagnostics including governance, control environment, operating model, and process efficiency assessments.
- Design and oversee implementation of future-state operating models, service delivery frameworks, and optimized customer journeys.
- Identify process improvement, automation, digitalization, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Ensure alignment between business strategy, technology initiatives (e.g., ERP, CRM, core systems), and operational transformation programs
- Provide executive-level recommendations supported by data
analysis, financial impact assessments, and risk evaluation. - Oversee development of policies and procedures, governance frameworks, and implementation roadmaps.
- Monitor realization of transformation benefits and ensure sustainability of implemented improvements.
On Governance, Risk, and Controls
- Lead governance and internal control assessments, including regulatory compliance and risk management
reviews. - Advise Audit Committees and senior leadership on control gaps, risk implications, and remediation strategies.
- Ensure transformation initiatives incorporate strong governance, accountability structures, and quality
standards. - Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across jurisdictions, where applicable.
On Leadership and Practice Development
- Serve as engagement leader and primary client relationship owner.
- Mentor and develop Managers, Associates, and junior team
members. - Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Support capability building, knowledge sharing, and adherence to firm methodologies and professional
standards.
Position Specifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accountancy, Industrial Engineering, Management, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA or Master's degree preferred).
- At least 10–15 years of progressive experience in consulting, transformation leadership, internal audit, or senior operational roles.
- At least 2 Professional certifications (i.e Lean Six Sigma,
PMP, Agile, Change Management, CPA) - Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide transformation programs.
- Strong experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Technical Competencies:
The applicant is expected to have the following:
- Strong expertise in business process re-engineering and operating model design.
- Deep understanding of governance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Experience with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, core systems implementation).
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, including business case development and ROI analysis.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at executive level.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple large engagements simultaneously.
- High level of integrity and professional judgement.
