FUNCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT & MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

  • Responsible for driving the business for technology. Ensures the products support the Companys overall strategy and goals. Responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with technical services, sales, marketing and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops core positioning and messaging of the product by collaborating with Pre-Sales Officers and the Marketing Team
  • Defines the product strategy and roadmap; provides technical direction for the development, design and systems integration across multiple client engagements from definition phase through project sign off and support
  • Collaborates with the sales and technical team developing and implementing strategic objectives for practice that are aligned with the regions strategic initiatives.
  • Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve services to client/s.
  • Identifies system deficiencies and implements effective solutions; suggests alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently, and/ or with greater reusability and/ or longer life
  • Champions customer success internally and externally; advocates for continuous process improvement across the organization.
  • Works with a team in representing the Company between the principal and the top management of the Company.
  • Collaborates with the team in analyzing potential partner relationships for the different Company products.
  • Identifies and qualifies specific requirements of clients.
  • Works with a team in providing technical vision to complement the business vision by setting the tone and direction of the company's technologies.
  • Works with the Marketing Team in conducting research on competitive alternatives, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Coaches and mentors team members to ensure productivity level; works with team and with Human Capital Development in evaluating performance and creating individual development plans
  • Leads, directs and manages major client issues which are already beyond SLA.

  • Internal – Marketing Team, Service Operations, Managing Director
  • External - Service Providers and Vendors, Clients

Experience

  • 8–15 years of relevant experience in Enterprise IT Infrastructure, Cloud, or Open-Source Solutions
  • At least 5+ years in a leadership role (Practice Lead, Solutions Architect Lead, Technical Director, or similar)
  • Experience in a System Integrator, IT Solutions Provider, or Managed Services environment
  • Proven exposure to enterprise-level client engagements

Technical Expertise (Red Hat Ecosystem)

  • Strong hands-on or architectural knowledge of:
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) / Containers and Kubernetes
    • OpenShift
    • Ansible (automation)
  • Solid foundation in:
    • Linux system administration & architecture
    • Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
    • Hybrid Cloud environments (on-prem + public cloud)
    • Infrastructure automation and DevOps practices
  • Ability to design and validate enterprise-grade solution architectures

Delivery & Governance

  • Experience overseeing:
    • Multi-client implementations
    • Systems integration projects
    • SLA management and major escalation handling
  • Strong understanding of:
    • IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL exposure is an advantage)
    • Risk assessment and mitigation strategies

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND/ KNOWLEDGE 

  • Ability to translate requirements into technical specifications/design
  • Ability to conduct design reviews with both user and technical personnel
  • Highly developed presentation and report generation skills
