Summary:
A leading global manufacturing firm is seeking a strategic Financial Controller to serve as the lead finance business partner for their La Union plant operations. This role is focused on value creation by providing transparency, insight, and robust financial analysis to support critical decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel in business analysis, financial planning, and CAPEX processes, acting as a forward-looking advisor to ensure the achievement of functional goals while strengthening the advisory culture within the Finance organization.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the lead finance business partner for the Manufacturing Plant, providing independent financial analysis and early warning signals to influence business actions.
- Lead all aspects of manufacturing accounting and controlling, including mid-term planning, annual budgeting, and 18-month rolling forecasting processes.
- Organize inter-departmental collaboration to ensure a systematic approach to planning that remains consistent with S&OP outcomes and operational roadmaps.
- Create financial transparency through performance measurement, proactive risk management, and the investigation of opportunities for production cost savings.
- Assess and monitor CAPEX investment plans, ensuring robust controlling processes and the delivery of post-investment analysis to target returns.
- Ensure full compliance with Accounting and Reporting Principles and lead the successful completion of sustainability reviews to maintain certification.
- Manage the resolution of issues arising from audits and compliance reviews while maintaining standardized controls to safeguard company assets.
- Support company initiatives for strong balance sheet management, specifically targeting corporate goals for NWC, FOCFI, RONOA, and ROE.
- Act as a liaison with the BSC Relationship Manager and internal stakeholders to improve business performance through specialized advisory and sensitivity analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in a manufacturing setting, specifically in process cost control, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Strong functional expertise in SAP-FICO, Budgeting & Forecasting, and Risk Management & Governance.
- In-depth knowledge of internal controls, business processes (ICS-SoD), and Accounting and Reporting Principles.
- Proven leadership competencies in strategic alignment, analysis, problem-solving, and team development.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
