Assistant Metallurgist

Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking an Assistant Metallurgist to support gold processing operations in Madagascar. The role involves assisting in monitoring ball mill and CIL circuit performance, analyzing process data, and supporting optimization efforts under the guidance of senior metallurgists.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring ball mill and CIL circuit operations.
• Support analysis of process parameters and plant performance.
• Collect and interpret production and metallurgical data.
• Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• Support troubleshooting of plant operations.
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of metallurgical data.
• Work closely with senior metallurgists and plant teams.
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Participate in plant inspections and performance reviews.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mineral processing or similar operations (mining preferred).
• Understanding of ball mills and CIL circuits.
• Knowledge of key process parameters in gold processing.
• Strong analytical and learning ability.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in English or French.
• Willingness to relocate to Madagascar.
