Job Summary:
The Bush Clearing Assistant will provide operational support to bush-clearing and land-development activities across the agricultural estate. The role will assist with field coordination, site preparation, progress monitoring, and safe execution of land-clearing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily bush-clearing and land-development activities.
- Support allocation and coordination of field workers and equipment within designated work areas.
- Monitor work progress and communicate field conditions or operational challenges to the supervisor.
- Assist with marking and identifying designated clearing areas and work boundaries.
- Support recording of completed areas, equipment utilization, workforce deployment, and daily activities.
- Coordinate with machinery operators and field personnel to support efficient work execution.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, operational obstacles, or equipment-related issues.
- Follow environmental, occupational health and safety, and estate operating procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture, Forestry, Land Management, Civil Works, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in land clearing, agriculture, construction, earthworks, or field operations.
- Basic understanding of land clearing, site preparation, and field-development activities.
- Ability to coordinate field workers and communicate effectively with equipment operators.
- Good record-keeping and basic reporting skills.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors under demanding field conditions.
- Strong safety awareness, teamwork, discipline, and ability to follow instructions.
- Experience in large-scale agricultural land-development operations will be an added advantage.
