Job Summary
Our client in the Agribusiness industry is seeking hardworking and physically fit Loaders / Mpakizi/Mshushaji to support loading, offloading, product movement, and warehouse operations at its facility in Kigoma.
The successful candidates will be responsible for safely handling grains, sacks, finished products, and other materials while maintaining proper stacking, cleanliness, and workplace safety. The role requires physical fitness, reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively in an active operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and offload grains, sacks, finished products, and other materials from trucks and other designated areas.
- Carry, move, arrange, and stack sacks and products safely within the warehouse and storage areas.
- Assist machine operators and production personnel with the movement of materials and finished products during production activities.
- Ensure products are handled carefully during loading, offloading, movement, and stacking to prevent damage, spillage, contamination, or loss.
- Follow proper manual handling and lifting techniques to minimize the risk of injury.
- Arrange and stack products safely and systematically to maintain organized storage areas and facilitate efficient stock movement.
- Assist with preparing products and materials for loading, dispatch, storage, or production as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in loading zones, warehouses, production areas, and other assigned work areas.
- Promptly report damaged products, unsafe stacking, spillages, or workplace hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow all workplace health, safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.
- Work closely with forklift operators, machine operators, warehouse personnel, and other team members to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Use any assigned manual handling tools or equipment safely and responsibly.
- Perform other loading, offloading, material handling, and related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Basic education or relevant vocational training in Warehouse Operations, Logistics, Material Handling, General Operations, or other related field will be an added advantage.
- Previous experience in loading, offloading, warehouse operations, manufacturing, agribusiness, logistics, or other physically demanding work will be an added advantage.
- Must be in good physical health and capable of performing manual work, including lifting, carrying, moving, and stacking materials.
- Basic understanding of safe lifting and manual material handling practices.
- Ability to follow workplace health, safety, and hygiene procedures.
- Ability to handle products carefully and minimize damage, loss, and spillage.
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable, disciplined, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willingness to work in an active production and warehouse environment.
