Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to support manufacturing operations by overseeing product formulation, quality control, process optimization, and raw material management. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring consistent product quality, improving production efficiency, and supporting the development of products such as wall putty, decorative plaster, tile adhesive, and tile grout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the formulation and production of products such as wall putty, decorative plaster, tile adhesive, and tile grout to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular quality control tests on raw materials, work-in-progress products, and finished goods to maintain product consistency.
  • Monitor production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing costs.
  • Analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve product quality, yield, and overall operational performance.
  • Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Manage and evaluate raw material usage to ensure cost-effective production and minimize material losses.
  • Support research and development activities aimed at improving existing products and developing new formulations.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, quality documentation, and process improvement recommendations for management review.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing productivity and product performance.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of product formulation, quality control, and process optimization.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes for construction chemicals is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
