Senior Metallurgist

Job Summary

CNS Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Metallurgist to support gold processing operations in Madagascar. The role focuses on optimizing plant performance, improving recovery rates, and troubleshooting metallurgical processes. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in CIL/CIP, leaching, and gold recovery processes, and be capable of working in an international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize gold processing operations (CIL/CIP, leaching, recovery).
• Monitor plant performance and recommend process improvements.
• Troubleshoot metallurgical and process-related issues.
• Analyze production data and improve recovery efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to operational and quality standards.
• Support plant management in achieving production targets.
• Conduct test work and process evaluations.
• Collaborate with plant and engineering teams.
• Prepare technical reports and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in metallurgy (gold/CIL/CIP preferred, related industries considered)
• Strong knowledge of CIL/CIP, leaching, and gold recovery processes.
• Proven ability to optimize plant performance.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Experience in mining or mineral processing environment.
• Fluency in English or French (both preferred).
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Madagascar.
