Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly analytical, commercially minded and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the organisation in business analysis, financial modelling, proposal development and preparation of financing and investment documentation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business opportunities and client requirements, developing financial projections and models, preparing high-level business documentation and developing compelling materials for potential investors, banks and other financing partners.

The role requires someone who is highly comfortable working with numbers, can interpret complex information, identify key commercial considerations and translate analysis into clear, professional and decision-oriented documents.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Modelling

• Develop and maintain financial projections, forecasts and financial models for business opportunities and projects.
• Analyse revenue, costs, profitability, cash flows, funding requirements and other key financial indicators.
• Conduct financial and commercial analysis to assess the viability and potential performance of proposed projects and business opportunities.
• Prepare scenario analysis, sensitivity analysis and other financial assessments to support management decision-making.
• Review financial information and identify key trends, assumptions, risks and opportunities.
• Assist in determining funding requirements and developing appropriate financial assumptions for proposed projects.

Investment & Financing Documentation

• Develop professional financing proposals, investment memoranda, pitch decks and presentations for investors, banks and other financing institutions.
• Translate financial analysis into clear and compelling commercial narratives for potential funders and investors.
• Prepare financial information and supporting documentation required for loan applications, investment proposals and financing discussions.
• Assist in developing business cases and funding proposals for new projects and business opportunities.
• Conduct research and compile market, industry and competitor information to support investment and financing materials.
• Ensure that all financial figures, assumptions and supporting information presented in proposals are accurate and properly substantiated.
• Business & Proposal Analysis
• Analyse client requirements, business proposals, contracts and other documentation to identify key commercial and financial considerations.
• Review and interpret large volumes of information and extract relevant data and insights.
• Support the preparation of high-level proposals, business plans, concept notes, reports and other strategic documentation.
• Assist in evaluating potential business opportunities and partnerships.
• Conduct research and analysis to support management and client-facing proposals.
• Work with internal teams to gather, validate and structure information required for proposals and business decisions.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies or risks in business and financial documentation and recommend appropriate action.

Reporting & Management Support

• Prepare concise reports, presentations and analytical summaries for management.
• Develop dashboards, financial schedules and other analytical tools where required.
• Support management in preparing for meetings with investors, banks, clients and other stakeholders.
• Present financial and commercial analysis in a clear and understandable manner.
• Maintain accurate records of financial models, assumptions, supporting data and analytical work.
• Perform other analytical and commercial duties as reasonably required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, Investment/Banking or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in business analysis, financial analysis, investment analysis, corporate finance, consulting, banking or a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience developing financial models, projections and business cases.
• Experience preparing investment proposals, financing proposals, pitch decks or similar materials for investors or financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow, profitability and financial performance analysis.
• Experience analysing business proposals, commercial documents and financial information.
• Experience in consulting, professional services, banking, investment, corporate finance or a fast-paced commercial environment will be an advantage.
• Experience within the travel, tourism, aviation or related industry will be an added advantage.
