Lab/ Calibration Engineer

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Testing & Validation

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of SI (Signal Integrity) test results for both mass production and new product validation (PE/R&D)
  • Manage high-volume daily testing activities and ensure consistency in testing methods
  • Maintain repeatability and reproducibility of test results

2. Reporting & Customer Support

  • Review, verify, and release SI test reports for internal and external use
  • Collaborate with third-party laboratories to complete testing requirements
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding testing methods and reports in a timely manner

3. Lab & Equipment Management

  • Manage and maintain laboratory testing equipment and tools
  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and availability of test equipment
  • Optimize testing processes and improve laboratory efficiency
  • Develop and standardize test report formats and procedures

4. Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Train and guide lab technicians on testing standards, methods, and equipment usage
  • Improve testing capability and performance of the lab team
  • Monitor industry standards and update testing procedures accordingly
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test performance and data reliability

5. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with PE, QE, ME, and R&D teams to analyze product failures
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for product issues
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Electrical Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience in SI (Signal Integrity) testing, especially with products such as servers, switches, or high-speed interconnect/power cables
  • Solid knowledge of Signal Integrity principles
  • Hands-on experience with testing equipment such as Network Analyzer, TDR, X-Ray, T-Rise, Thermal Shock, etc.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • High sense of responsibility and ability to handle situations effectively
  • Good command of English
