R&D Engineer

Job Description:

  • Lead research and development activities for new modified plastic products, including formulation design, process optimization, and performance testing.
  • Customize material properties such as reinforcement, flame retardancy, high-temperature resistance, and durability to meet customer requirements in automotive, electronics, and home appliance industries.
  • Develop and optimize production formulations and process flows; conduct parameter tuning on equipment such as twin-screw extruders.
  • Transfer laboratory-scale formulations into stable, scalable, and cost-effective industrial production processes.
  • Improve existing product performance (strength, toughness, weather resistance, etc.) through formulation and process enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain technical documentation, including inspection standards, operating instructions, and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical support to customers, including material selection recommendations, failure analysis, and corrective solutions.
  • Monitor industry technology trends and new materials; propose innovation ideas and continuous product improvement.
  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Sales teams to resolve technical issues and support customer projects.
  • Participate in technical exchanges, exhibitions, and customer visits when required.
  • Plan and manage R&D projects, complete technical reports, and support intellectual property and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company regulations in all R&D activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Masters degree or higher in Polymer Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Solid knowledge of polymer materials, compounding technology, and experimental design
  • Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken); Chinese language skills are an advantage.
  • Proactive mindset, strong sense of responsibility, and willingness to learn and innovate.
  • Willingness to relocate to Dong Nai province for approximately one year for training.
