Business Development Manager (Air Freight)

Position Information:

Location: Hanoi / Hai Phong

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reports to: Head of Sales / Branch Manager


Role Purpose:

The Air Freight Business Development Manager is responsible for driving sustainable air freight growth in North Vietnam. The role focuses on developing high-value, time-critical cargo segments and building profitable, repeatable air volume through integrated logistics solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Air Freight Business Development

  • Develop new air import & export customers across North Vietnam.
  • Target key industries: Electronics, Automotive, Solar & Energy, Garment & Footwear, Machinery.
  • Build regular weekly/monthly air cargo flow and long-term customer portfolio.
  • Ensure profitable gross margin and controlled credit terms.

2. Solution Selling & Product Development

  • Design and promote customized air solutions: eco-air, express, priority, hand-carry, charter, AOG.
  • Bundle air freight with customs brokerage, domestic trucking, and cross-border transport.
  • Work closely with operations to ensure service reliability and SOP compliance.

3. Commercial Governance

  • Own personal GP and volume targets.
  • Maintain pipeline accuracy and sales forecasting.
  • Protect margins and avoid rate-driven selling practices.


Requirements:

  • 3–7 years of air freight sales experience in Vietnam.
  • Strong airline and agent network.
  • Proven track record in solution-based selling.
  • Strong negotiation and commercial mindset.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
