HSE Supervisor

 Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, maintain, and update HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with company/group objectives and current legal requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and manage HSE risks arising from business operations and manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE regulations, procedures, and standards by all departments, contractors, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement internal and external HSE training programs; coordinate with relevant parties to organize and deliver such training.
  • Monitor and manage equipment subject to strict safety regulations, safety devices, and Group 2 measuring instruments in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Manage contractors HSE performance in compliance with safety requirements, social responsibility standards, and sustainability requirements.
  • Supervise fire prevention and firefighting systems, emergency response and rescue equipment; maintain emergency response teams and related documentation.
  • Manage chemical safety for departments and contractors working at the company.
  • Coordinate investigations and corrective actions for unsafe conditions, incidents, and accidents when they occur.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to establish, maintain, and improve emergency response teams.
  • Oversee compliance in wastewater, emissions management, and Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
  • Manage all types of waste from generation, storage, transportation to final disposal in compliance with regulations.
  • Collect, maintain, and manage HSE records and data for internal reports, group reporting, and submission to competent authorities.
  • Update and monitor legal compliance requirements; communicate changes to departments and conduct periodic compliance assessments.
  • Implement and maintain social responsibility and sustainability standards.
  • Coordinate and work with customers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to handle HSE-related requests and audits.
  • Propose initiatives and continuous improvement ideas to enhance HSE performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Occupational Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other related disciplines).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an HSE Supervisor in a manufacturing plant (experience in the same or similar industry is preferred).

Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Knowledge of greenhouse gas management, energy management, and HSE-related certifications is an advantage.

Skills

  • Risk identification and risk assessment skills.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, investigate, and report incidents and accidents.
  • Good training, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagram) and PFD (Process Flow Diagram) drawings is an advantage.

Language Skills

  • English: Good command of both written and spoken English.
