About the role
We are looking to bring on a motivated and hands-on Geotechnical Engineer with 2+ years of experience to join our talented team in Hamilton.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established Hamilton team with a strong forward workload, genuine career development pathways, and exposure to a broad range of technically interesting projects across the Waikato and central North Island.
Our range of projects are diverse across countries and offices: You will contribute to a diverse range of projects across key sectors including land development, energy, transport, and infrastructure, working alongside a collaborative and high-performing team of geotechnical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of technical and operational activities, working under the guidance of senior professionals and accessing training and support as required.
- Contribute to the development of geotechnical solutions by applying engineering and geological knowledge gained through study and practical experience.
- Undertake site investigations, field testing, data collection and analysis, and prepare design inputs and technical reports.
- Support project delivery across all stages, collaborating with senior team members to achieve project objectives and client outcomes.
What You'll Need
- A Civil Engineering Degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer part of a consultancy
- Experience in land development preferred
- Field-related experience
- Previous exposure to proposal preparation and technical report writing
- A full New Zealand drivers license
- Good interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills, both verbal and written
