Administration / Accounts Officer - Maternity Cover

Since starting in Perth in 2012, CMW Geosciences has expanded to 22 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are a hard-working, down-to-earth, and passionate group of professionals who provide quality geotechnical site investigation, analysis, and design advice to the construction, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

CMW has maintained year-on-year growth since its establishment in 2012, and the Brisbane office is seeking to bring on an Administrator/Accounts Officer for fixed-term maternity cover. Primarily, this role supports the QLD and Northern NSW region. The role is varied and would suit someone with a strong background in accounts/bookkeeping who is happy to get stuck in and help out wherever required to keep the office running smoothly. Outside of accounts, you'll also be involved with general, project-related and administrative tasks.

This position will start in early January 2026 and continue until September 2026, with the opportunity to transfer to permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Timely processing of monthly accounts, reporting & reconciliations
  • Effective maintenance and administration of a range of office systems such as the Health & Safety System and Quality System in conjunction with the Office Manager
  • Efficient running of the office including supplies, mail, calls and messages, couriers, photocopying, binding and general office maintenance
  • Accurate documentation of key meetings such as audits, health and safety meetings and team meetings
  • Organisation of key communications and events for staff

Qualification/Experience

  • Previous experience working within a professional services office environment.
  • 2 + years experience with accounts and invoicing
  • Relevant qualification in administration, bookkeeping, business or similar.
  • MYOB experience preferred
