The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth for CMW Geosciences across Western Australia's construction, infrastructure, energy and mining sectors.

Working closely with our technical leaders and regional teams, you'll identify market opportunities early, position CMW on major projects, and convert those opportunities into long-term, high-value client partnerships.

This is a hands-on, relationship-led role suited to someone who can build credibility, influence key stakeholders, and deliver commercial outcomes. This role comes with momentum: a strong existing portfolio, active projects in play, and plenty of scope to grow revenue through cross-selling and deeper client partnerships.

In parallel, we are also seeking a Perth-based General Manager of Business Development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies aligned to CMWs growth objectives
  • Identify, pursue and secure new opportunities across Perth and Western Australia
  • Build, maintain and grow strong relationships with clients, partners and internal stakeholders
  • Manage key accounts and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across CMWs service lines
  • Track market trends, upcoming projects and competitor activity
  • Represent CMW at industry events and networking opportunities

What Were Looking For

  • Proven ability to win and grow new client relationships – advantage if you've come from construction, engineering, mining, infrastructure or energy sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert growth opportunities
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence working with technical professionals and senior internal stakeholders
  • A proactive, self-driven approach with strong organisation and follow-through
