Inventory Associate
About the job Inventory Associate
Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing: Receive and inspect deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, and properly store items according to guidelines.
- Inventory Tracking: Regularly track and update inventory levels using inventory management software or systems, ensuring real-time accuracy.
- Ordering Supplies: Collaborate with the Kitchen Head to determine inventory needs and place orders with vendors as required.
- Stock Rotation: Implement and maintain a stock rotation system to minimize waste and ensure the freshness of ingredients.
- Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of supplies and ingredients within the kitchen, ensuring that all stations have what they need.
- Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of food items.
- Reporting: Prepare regular inventory reports, highlighting any discrepancies, shortages, or other issues for management review.
- Collaboration: Work closely with chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to understand their needs and support them as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant certification in inventory management is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, preferably in a cloud kitchen or food service environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in inventory management software or systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and storage regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to stand for extended periods
