Role Description: The Business Development(BD) Intern will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships with high-profile clients and corporate entities. This role will require proactive outreach, strategic engagement, and effective communication to build partnerships and close deals. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in expanding our client base and contributing to the company's revenue targets.


RESPONSIBILITIES AS A BD INTERN

Market Research and Lead Identification:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential clients and industries that align with the company's IT solutions.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to inform outreach plans.

Cold Calling and Client Outreach:

  • Initiate contact with target companies and high-profile individuals through cold calling and personalized outreach.
  • Gather and organize lead information from online sources and networking events, including tech events and business conferences.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to build trust and facilitate long-term business.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their specific needs and propose tailored IT solutions that add value.

Networking and Event Participation:

  • Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and meet-ups to network with potential clients and collect valuable business contacts.
  • Utilize business cards and information acquired from these events for targeted follow-ups.

Proposal and Presentation Development:

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients to showcase the companys capabilities and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on project scope and customization for client-specific solutions.

Negotiation and Closing Sales:

  • Lead negotiations to reach favorable agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and alignment with company objectives.
  • Secure and finalize contracts to achieve sales targets.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with project management, technical, and marketing teams to streamline client onboarding and project execution.
  • Provide feedback and insights to improve service offerings and client experience.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, sales activities, and outcomes in the company CRM.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on business development efforts and outcomes for senior management.


Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum commitment of 3 months full-time internship
  • Have a working device(laptop/desktop) with a stable internet connection
  • Diploma or Degree or Masters (Pursuing or Graduated) in any field
  • Membership of Industry Academia Community (If you are not a member already, please signup at https://industryacademiacommunity.com)
  • Understanding of B2C and B2B sales, preferably in the IT sector.
  • Ability to conduct effective market research and strategic outreach.
  • Proficiency with or knowledge about using the CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Pro-active and willingness to learn


Desired Requirements:

  • Prior BD Internship experience
  • Committee lead/member experience of College Club or Student Cell
  • Personal BD Project experience beyond academics
