Job Overview:

The Business Analyst Lead oversees a team of business analysts, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. This role involves leading the analysis of business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating the implementation of solutions to meet organizational objectives. The Business Analyst Lead collaborates closely with stakeholders to identify business needs, recommend improvements, and drive innovation within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of business analysts, providing coaching, support, and mentorship to foster professional growth and development
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of business analysis projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and project sponsors, to understand business priorities and objectives
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead requirements elicitation sessions, workshops, and interviews to gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and recommend solutions that address business challenges, improve processes, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, leveraging best practices, industry standards, and technology solutions to drive business value
  • Data Analysis: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights that support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to business requirements through thorough testing, validation, and review processes
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies within the organization
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the business analysis team, encouraging innovation, learning, and knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA is preferred
  • Proven experience in business analysis, project management, or a related field, with demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
  • Strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques, with proficiency in requirements elicitation, process modeling, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and drive change within the organization
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project) is desirable
  • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) and project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower team members to achieve their full potential
