The Junior Cyber Security Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's cyber security efforts. Working under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will be responsible for assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of security systems and processes to protect our digital assets from cyber threats. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for cyber security to gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.   Responsibilities: Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection solutions, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems Monitor security events and alerts generated by various security tools and systems, and respond promptly to potential security incidents or breaches Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities to identify and address security weaknesses in our systems and networks Help develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard our data and infrastructure from cyber threats Contribute to incident response efforts by assisting in the investigation, containment, and recovery of security incidents and breaches Stay informed about emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and proactively recommend security enhancements or countermeasures Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into the design and development of new systems, applications, and services Support security awareness and training programs for employees to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance. Assist with security compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards Provide technical assistance and guidance to internal stakeholders on cyber security best practices and procedures   Mandatory Requirements:  Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field 1-2 years of experience in a cyber security role or related field (internship or entry-level positions) Strong understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common cyber security principles Familiarity with security technologies and tools, such as firewalls, antivirus software, SIEM solutions, etc Hands-on experience with security assessment tools and techniques, including vulnerability scanning and penetration testing Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, etc   Preferred Requirements: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc.)   Qualities:  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment   Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity for professional growth and career development Exposure to cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices Dynamic and collaborative work environment with opportunities to make a meaningful impact   Location:  Onsite, Remote, HybridÂ
